Dublin School Renovation

Since the Elizabeth J. Riley Charitable Trust purchased the Dublin School in December, 2012 and leased it to the Historical Society for $1.00 per year, the Society has been working to renovate the School to create a local history museum, Historical Society office and community gathering space. With help from our dedicated and amazing volunteers, residents and community partners, the Society has made great strides towards this goal!

Dublin SchoolSince beginning renovations in 2014, the School windows, gutters, downspouts and soffits have been replaced, grading and drainage work was completed, window sills were rebuilt and stained, display cabinets and walls were repaired and refinished for the first display room, sewer and water laterals were installed and the lower level demolition was completed and the joists were sistered. Installation of new furnaces and attic insulation is planned for spring, 2019.
